Health First

«Health First» is the name of the inspiring exhibition currently on display at the Stapferhaus Lenzburg. As part of the exhibition, Jan Kissling gave a medical perspective presentation to a group of teachers, who are also exposed to particular strains due to their profession. Using concrete examples, he demonstrated that whether through exercise, nutrition, or sleep, as individuals and as a society, we are trying to close the gap between «life expectancy» and «healthy life expectancy». The goal is to grow old healthily and ultimately die healthily.

Charitable causes supported

The ifa maintains a support fund for employees and their families in financial need. Surpluses are donated annually to charitable organizations and campaigns. This year, an extraordinary donation was already made in August for the victims of the devastating storms in Ticino, Valais and Graubünden. The ifa employees have now decided to support two further organizations at the Annual General Meeting: Redog, the Swiss Association for Search and Rescue Dogs, which are used in missing persons cases; and the Tamahú Guatemala relief organization, which provides training for nurses or clean water for remote indigenous villages.
